ABOUT KATIEKatie James is a New York City-based performer and 2023 graduate of Marymount Manhattan College with a BFA in Musical Theatre.
Growing up in picturesque Savannah, Georgia, Katie fell in love with performing at a young age after learning how to rock out on a “shaky-egg” in Kindermusik class. She cherished her involvement with local community theatre, even bringing in the rest of her family. Spending time performing with her father and sister, and with mom working behind the scenes, theatre quickly became Katie’s second home.
Katie studied classical voice and chorus at her high school, the Savannah Arts Academy. Upon graduation, Katie pursued her collegiate career in NYC! While Attending Marymount Manhattan, she flourished as a Performer, and also honed her skills as a Costume Designer, Director, and Choreographer.
Katie makes no apologies for her love of the Muppets and Dolly Parton!
Recent Projects
After a successful year traveling the globe with Disney Cruise Line as a mainstage vocalist, Katie moved back to New York City. After a year of city life, Katie booked Legally Blonde back home in Savannah, Georgia. Katie starred in the production as Paulette, the zany hairdresser, and worked on the production team as the Dance Captain.
After a successful run, she is headed back to New York, where next up is….
